Playing round with PPC

Monday, November 24th, 2008

Over 3 years since I did anything in PPC so as I am sitting bored I have started playing with it again.  The model still looks the same to me:

load up 1000’s of keywords, millions is better

stick them on broad, phrase and exact, remove the negatives

spend some cash

see what happens

remove the junk, add more negatives, add more terms related to ones that work

Obvioulsy if you are bidding on brand, then just wait for money:)

Anyway nice little tool that a mate showed me, if you use it I’ll by him a beer as its got affiliate tracking on it. Scarily simple once you get your head round it.

I looked at this tool 6 or 8 months ago but couldnt get my head around it. Are you finding it easy to use? Is this version API based?

    Hey Doug,

You know what my friend, pretty much spot on their with your summary on PPC. A lot of people out there making this stuff 10x more complex that it actually is, but then again I guess its like everything, easy when you know how. Good heads up on that tool though, I was just looking for something like that. Do you know if it does Dynamic KP Insertion though, I couldn’t find any details on it. If so, I am buying it now.

Nice to meet you at SMX Btw and I hope you are well.

No need to add in KeyWord: just get all words loaded, then pull out the broad ones from your logs.

If its a good new word add it in phrase and exact, if a bad word add into negatives.

Took a while to work it out, but scarily simple, once sorted.

    No API that I know.

    Doug
