The New World is Coming What will you do?
This is a private conversation that I have had with many people….if you get this discussion then you will get it, if not you will think I am talking crap:)
AI and the development in the past 3 years has been unbelievable. AlphaGo, a computer developed in London and now owned by Google, beat the world champion of one of the hardest games in the world to play. Google paid £400 million to buy this company, Deepmind, that had never made money or launched a product. The reason for the purchase was Deepmind was developing AI and had several hundred of the best people in the world working for them. Improbal.io, another London AI company just raised £20 million, again having never really come out of Stealth mode……I spent an afternoon with the Improbable guys and was blown away.
In the next 10 years the development of everything will speed up at a pace unimaginable, simply due to more and more machines developing more and more things and fixing more and more problems, thus resulting in compound growth in almost everything related to knowledge. The machines will simply in many tasks be better than humans and AI will make this even more so.
